The National Title I Conference is now over...
The National Title I Conference was held in Seattle from January 21- 24 and despite the snowstorm, this was our best conference yet!
Saturday’s Opening Ceremony and Distinguished School Parade were popular among all attendees. Keynote speaker Jane McGonigal shared her enthusiasm for drawing on positive psychology as we frame the challenges of our time.
Saturday night’s networking event was a fun-filled evening complete with interactive games, hula dancing lessons, and a sensational high school jazz band. Attendees connected with familiar faces and met new friends in the Title I community.
Sunday’s Keynote speaker, Yong Zhao touched our minds and hearts, "At a time when human diversity should be celebrated and tapped into as assets, schools are asked to homogenize the curriculum and narrow children’s educational experiences.”
Each speaker and presenter during the four conference days offered a variety of talks covering technical as well as strategy and community related issues, which kept attendees busy and gave inspiration to new ideas.
